My Story
About Shereka
Hello, my name is Shereka Jackson a native of Phoenix, Arizona. My goal was to attend college in Atlanta but God had another plan for my life. I graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems and Operations Management. After graduating I went back to my high school where I started coaching basketball and mentoring young ladies. While coaching and engaging in the community, I received my MBA in Technology Management. I have mentored and worked with youth for over 25 years and in 2008 I started Future Stars, Inc.
SDJ INNOVATIONS
Was created to Inspire and Empower youth and young adults to have a career in STEM. Through my experiences and career I will train and teach educators and adults how to successfully teach STEM.
stem programming
I provide STEM programming that engages, empowers and inspires youth. I created the Hands On STEM program in 2015 and have taught 100’s
of youth.
stem workshops
Through STEM workshops I will train and teach educators and after school professionals how to create STEM programs to engage and encourage students.
speaking engagements
I speak to youth, young adults and women who desire careers in STEM or are established in their careers and need tips to be more successful.
a stem community
I teach STEM through the community at community centers, churches, birthday parties and community events/fairs.
coaching & Mentoring
Through coaching/mentoring I work with individuals to help them develop their plans for college or life after high school. I also provide guidance to young ladies just starting out in their STEM career.
